Things I miss about College

After cheerfully creating a new blog, I kept wondering what my first post should be about. With lots of ideas running about in my mind, I have settled down to write about what I miss the most... College!!

I know this may be a little too late (considering its been more than a year since I got out of college), still better late than never.

So here I go with a few things I miss the most about college life.
 

• Hostel- Opal had been my home for 4 years! Wonderful friends/roommates, endless gossips and kalaais, night outs, last minute exam preparations, washing clothes day n night :P, sleeping on the terrace, stocking up of maggi and ready to eat stuff for wednesdays(unbearable food at the mess:-/) , bday celebrations at night- it all happened here.  I entered this place with tears in my eyes for moving away from home, only to realise that I would go out of the same place 4 years later with more tears... 

• Sem hols- Sem hols are when we apparently do IPTs/projects but I remember my hols more for the absolute lazy times I have spent at home and roaming aroung with friends:) With almost 4 months of sem hols every year, college has thoroughly spoilt me- trying hard to manage without vacations now!!!

• Fests- Those 4 days when everyone's out at the barn the whole day (gals get extension depending on the director's mood :P), crowding the food stalls, running around trying to get some work done, have lots of fun and at the end of the day crib about how the fest sucked :P

 

• Staff Canteen/Vasantham- Even though I get to eat very good food now at home, I keep craving for staffC idly, vada or Vasantham Ghee roast :D

• Sangeethas- Related to food again :P Sangeethas was one of my favorite restaurants in Trichy; Infact there were times when I used to look forward to coming to Chennai just to have an awesome dinner at Sangeethas B-)

• Group studies- This may seem weird but I actually miss all the story making we used to do the day before exams to try and remember things!

• Rockfort temple- I love the view from the top of the Rockfort temple. Such a peaceful place with lots of good memories:) Probably this should come under "Top 10 things I miss about Trichy" but anyways for me Trichy and college are the same :)

• CLC- Ofcourse am not talking about attending classes here but CLC was fun when you had no class and you could roam around to irritate the departments that had class and also it was one place where we could sight cute junior guys:D

Well, the list does not surely end here... Don't be surprised if I come back tomorrow and write another long post on the same title :D
